After this intake is finished, they will exit the room and you will prepare to get on the massage table. Before getting on the table, you may disrobe as much or as little as you prefer. Many styles of massage therapy are most effective when performed directly on the skin; however, you may leave your clothing on if you prefer. Once on the table and inbetween the soft sheets you can relax and enjoy the peacefulness.
When you are completely situated on the table you will let the therapist know that you are ready. They will then enter back into the room and make sure that you feel comfortable; adjusting anything to your liking such as the lighting, music, room temperature.
As the massage begins it is your time to simply relax and gently breathe. A full body massage typically includes the back, buttocks, legs, feet, arms, hands, head, neck and face. When each area is worked on the sheet is pulled back and then respectfully replaced. If there are areas of your body that you are not comfortable with having massaged, for any reason, mention this to the therapist. You do not need to explain or rationalize your reasons.
Eventually the massage will have to end and your therapist will again leave the room. After getting up off the table take a moment to reflect on how you might feel different from when you arrived. If you noticed changes discuss them with your therapist.
We thank you for the honor to work with you and look forward to massage becoming a regular part of your good health routine!
